Free plugin

Send your WordPress email through Gmail. Free, for one site.

Postkeep connects one WordPress site to your own Gmail account in a minute, with no app passwords, no client IDs and nothing to paste. It is the Gmail part of All in One WP Settings, on its own and free.

Overview

WordPress sends mail through PHP's mail() by default, and Gmail, Outlook and most inboxes treat that mail as suspect: password resets, order confirmations and contact-form messages arrive late, land in spam, or never arrive. The fix is to send through a real mailbox instead, and the usual way to do that with Gmail means creating a Google Cloud project, an OAuth client and a consent screen, then pasting IDs and secrets into WordPress.

Postkeep does the connecting for you. Install the plugin, press Connect, sign in to the All in One WP Settings portal with a free account, and allow Gmail to send on your site's behalf. The portal keeps the connection; the plugin sends your site's mail through the Gmail API with a send-only permission - it cannot read your inbox - and the content of your messages goes from your site to Google without passing through us.

Free means free: one WordPress site per account, Gmail, no time limit, no card. The paid suite, All in One WP Settings, adds Outlook, more sites, updates from the portal, support and the rest of the suite's modules; the free plugin stays free whether or not you ever buy it.

How it connects

Three steps, one minute, nothing to paste

The plugin never asks you for a client ID, a secret or an app password. The portal is the OAuth client; you only ever sign in to Google.

1

Press Connect

In WordPress, open Postkeep and press Connect. The plugin sends you to the All in One WP Settings portal with your site's address.

2

Sign in or create a free account

The free licence for your site lives on a portal account. It takes a minute, and it is where you can move the licence to another site later or remove it.

3

Allow Gmail to send

You are sent back to WordPress, and the plugin asks Google for permission to send email on your behalf - send only, never read. From then on your site's mail goes through your Gmail account.

What is free

One site, Gmail, no time limit

The free plugin is the Gmail part of the suite, on its own. These are its limits, stated once so nobody has to find them out later.

One WordPress site

One free licence per portal account, for one site of any kind - a staging site counts as the site. You can move it to another site from the plugin at any time; the old site stops sending the moment you do.

Gmail and Google Workspace

Any Google account can be connected, personal or Workspace. Sending goes through the Gmail API with a send-only permission; Google's own daily sending limits for your account apply.

No card, no clock

The free licence has no end date and asks for no payment details. It stays free whether or not you ever look at the suite.

Help from the community

The free plugin is supported through its WordPress.org forum. Ticketed support, Outlook, more sites and updates from the portal are part of the paid suite.

Your data

What we hold, and what we never see

The connection is held by the same service, under the same rules, as the suite's SMTP Easy Connect; the privacy policy's Google user data section applies to the free plugin word for word.

Send only

The permission asked of Google is gmail.send: submit messages on your behalf. We do not read, list or modify your mail, and we cannot.

Your messages do not pass through us

Your site sends each message to Google directly with a short-lived token. We hold the encrypted connection token, the connected account's address, and the time a token was last issued - not the mail.

Disconnect any time

Disconnect from the plugin's own screen and the token is revoked at Google and deleted here; or revoke us at myaccount.google.com/permissions. A connection unused for 180 days is revoked on its own.

FAQ

Postkeep FAQ

Yes. One WordPress site per account, Gmail, no end date and no payment details. The paid suite exists, and the free plugin says so on its screen, but the free plugin does not stop working if you never buy it.

The account holds the free licence and the Gmail connection, so you can move the licence to another site, see which site holds it, and disconnect from one place. Creating it takes a minute and it is where the connection can be removed later.

One site per free licence. Press Connect on the second site and the portal offers to move the licence there - the first site stops sending the moment you choose - or to keep both with the suite, which covers one, three or five live sites.

The free plugin connects Gmail and Google Workspace. Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft 365 one-click connections are part of the paid suite's SMTP Manager, which also keeps the classic SMTP settings for any other provider.

The free plugin is supported through its WordPress.org forum, where the developers read and answer. Ticketed support from the portal is part of the paid suite.
